TWO EGYPTIAN MOSAIC GLASS INLAYS
ptolemaic to roman period
circa 1st century b.c.-1st century a.d.
Including one larger square with a wadjet eye on a light blue ground, with a purple pupil on white with white vertical eyelashes below a red band, all on a transparent light blue ground, an opaque red projection below encased in purple and yellow, a white and blue triangle at one edge, and a crescentic projection with a red band bisecting white feathers encased in yellow; and a smaller square with a wadjet eye on a black ground, with a black pupil on white with vertical black eyelashes on a white band, a green projection below with a red and purple triangle at one edge, and a red-striped white projection
