The oval cameo cast with white on a dark purple ground, depicting Nike with outstretched wings driving four rearing horses, the goddess wearing a peplos which leaves her right side exposed, the folds massed between her legs, holding the reigns in each hand, one horse fully depicted to her right, the head of another visible above her, the fore-part of two others to her left
