A ROMAN GLASS RELIEF PLAQUE
circa 1st century a.d.
Originally rectangular in form, cast in cobal blue, a thin white layer near the back, with a maenad in relief in profile to the right, wearing a chiton which has slipped off her right shoulder, her head tilted back, holding a thyrsos tied with a fillet behind her in her left hand
