A ROMAN GLASS UNGUENTARIUM
circa 4th century a.d.
Light yellow in color, free-blown, the globular body with nine pinched vertical ribs, the cylindrical neck with a single thread below the lip, with twin vertical handles forming a loop at the flaring rim, on a folded conical foot; together with two Roman glass applicators, circa 1st-2nd Century A.D., one of green and white rods wound together, one end flattened, the other formed in to a loop; and one of translucent yellow glass, the twisted rod tapering to a point at one end and flattend into a spoon at the other
