According to Fenaille, only one documented tapestry after designs by Oudry and depicting Mignonne and Sylvie was woven at Gobelins in the atelier of Duruy between 15 July 1835 and 28 November 1838. This tapestry was exhibited in 1840 and in 1842 and was listed as one to be used for a gift.

Oudry's eleven paintings in this series (1725-1732) were intended as overdoors at the palace of Compiègne.

According to a photograph taken in the 1930's, the tapestry was located at the head of the Great Staircase of Tredegar. It was probably sold early in 1951 when most of the contents of the home were sent to auction.
