Tall 4o [the second part of text no. 3 = 2o] (275 x 200 mm). [3] + 12 + 58 leaves, with various partly erroneous foliations. Brown inks. Different Oriental and Italian hands. Text by the copyist of the first text (fols. [1]r-[3]v) and the second part of the third text (fols. 40r-58v) within a red frame. (Fols. [1]r-[3]v inlaid to size, only slightly stained and soiled, good condition.) Modern blind and gold-tooled black morocco, two modern paper flyleaves and one additional older flyleaf at back and front.

I. Fols. [1]r-[3]v: an explanation of the kabbalistic rules of Nathan of Gaza. Also found in MS Moscow, Guenzburg Collection 517, fols. 74-75. See M. Benayahu, in Sefunot 14 (1971-1978) p. 332-335.
Fols. [4]rv: blank.
II. Fols. 1r-10r: Derush ha-Tanninim by Nathan of Gaza. Also published by G. Scholem in the collection Be-Ikkevot Mashiach (1944).
Fols. 10v-12v: blank.
III. Fols. 1r-58v: Zemir Aritsim by Nathan of Gaza, the kabbalist and disciple of Shabbetai Zevi. The first part reaches the point where MS Oxford Mich. 494 breaks off. Another hand, identical with the copyist of text II, copied the second part (fols. 40r-58v), which is also found in the complete manuscript in the British Library in London, MS Or. 4536. Parts of the work were published by G. Scholem in the collection Be-Ikkevot Mashiach (1944). On this work and on the different manuscript versions, see M.
