2o (310 x 195 mm). [1] + 260 leaves. Black and brown inks. Ashkenazic semi-cursive script. With some kabbalistic diagrams. (Browned and stained, edges frayed, fols. [1], 1, 4 and 5 with old strengthening of margins, fol. 5 torn, some loss of text, other minor defects.) Nineteenth-century dark red half morocco, two paper flyleaves at back and front, last leaf of the volume pasted onto the first flyleaf at the back.

With glosses by Moses Zacuto, Benjamin ben Eliezer Hakohen, Nathan Spira and Azriel Krotoshin, possibly added by Azriel in his own hand. Fols. 1-236 were copied by Isaac ben Moses Shabbetai Sheftel. On this work, see Y. Avivi, Binyan Ariel (Jerusalem 1987) p. 64, n. 38. On fol. 237ff there are additional kabbalistic homilies, possibly by Vital, in a different hand.
PROVENANCE:
At the beginning a note dated 26 Adar 5489 (= 1729) in Krotoshin by Samuel ben Azriel Krotoshin, who inherited the manuscript from his father. On Azriel Krotoshin, cf. Neubauer, no. 56 (lot 148).
