Large 4o (270 x 205 mm). [3] + 262 leaves. Dark brown ink. Oriental semi-cursive script. (Certain sections, especially towards the end, severely dampstained and faded, affecting text, other old defects with skilful modern repairs, larger part of the text still quite legible.) Blind and gold-tooled light and dark brown morocco, two modern paper flyleaves at back and front, modern brown linen slipcase.

CONTENTS:
Fols. [1]rv: originally blank, with later inscription on recto; [2]r-[3]r: Hakdamah; [3]v: blank; 1r-262v: text.

This work is a redaction of the early version of Otserot Chayyim by Hayyim Vital, with the treatises Kehillat Ya'akov and Adam Yashar (version B) added as commentaries. For a detailed description of this redaction, cf. Y. Avivi in Ha-Ma'ayan (Tammuz 1978), p. 69-71, and idem, Binyan Ariel (Jerusalem 1987) p. 64-67.

This redaction is found in only two other manuscripts, Amsterdam, Ets Haim/Livraria Montezinos 47 A 30, written in 1696, and New York, JTS Mic. 2054.
