A VICTORIAN SILVER CENTERPIECE
Maker's mark of Barnard Bros., London, 1859, also stamped A.B SABORY & SONS CORNHILL LONDON
The circular base formed as an oasis rising out of a water lily pond, one side engraved in oval MARCH 21ST 1891 within foliate scrolls, the naturalistic ground applied with two entwining palm trees, in front a seated bearded Arab holding his pipe and engaged in conversation with standing figure with spear, sword and quiver, with applied shield engraved with coat-of-arms, crest and motto, with finely modeled camel standing behind the trees--21in. (54.6cm.) high, 171oz.

The arms are those of Robertson of Kindeace, Ross-shire, Scotland.
