Serial No. A32333, Factory Order No. S1765 29, in sunburst finish, thinline body with double cutaways, top with f-holes, mahogany neck, twenty-two fret bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, headstock face with crown motif inlay, two humbucking pickups, four rotary controls, selector switch, metal bridge, metal stud tailpiece and black pickguard; and a brown hardshell contour case with pink plush lining and Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label Gibson. ES. 335 'Dot' '60. Sunburst. Ser. A.32333 and adhesive paper label similarly inscribed

The ES-335 model was introduced in 1958.

Eric Clapton frequently used this guitar for stage work. He recalls playing such numbers as Third Degree on it during his 1994-5 Blues Tour.

In a recent interview with Neville Marten for Guitarist, Lee Dickson said of this guitar "...that sunburst [Gibson ES-335TD] had the most incredible tone. He [Clapton] used it when he was looking for the particular textures and tones of the blues guitarsts that he was playing homage to on that tour..."

The stage-shots illustrated show Eric Clapton playing this guitar on different occasions during the From The Cradle Nothin' But Blues Tour, 1994-1995. He often played three numbers on this guitar Third Degree, Reconsider Baby and Sinner's Prayer. The venues were: a) Budokan, Tokyo, October 13, 1995 and b) Madison Square Garden, New York, October, 1995.
