in honey finish, quilted maple body with double cutaways, maple neck with skunk-stripe routing, twenty-one fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, three EMG pickups, two rotary controls, selector switch and tailplate with adjustable saddles; and a black rectangular hardshell case with red plush lining and Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label Pensa - Suhr Custom Strat N.S.N. and adhesive paper label similarly inscribed

Eric Clapton said that this guitar was a gift from Mark Knopfler during the period when Knopfler played in Eric Clapton's Band, 1988-1989.
