A GROUP OF JAPANESE TEXTILES
(19TH AND 20TH CENTURIES)
A group of textiles comprising an obi of silk brocade woven in thick silk thread on a bright gold ground with stands of lush garden flowers of white, yellow, purple, pink and bronze with shaded green leaves-14 feet x 12in. (424cm. x 30.5cm.); and four small lengths of brocade: one woven with colorful dragons and clouds on an orange ground, late 19th century, one woven with larger blue and white dragons, phoenixes and gold chrysanthemum medallions on an orange ground, and one woven with large green and gold dragons and clouds on a dark orange ground.
