One of a series of Oriental horsemen, many of which, unlike the present study, have been trimmed and thus lack the numbering in the upper left. One of the three from this group in the Metropolitan Museum is apparently the following number to this drawing, J. Byam Shaw, The Drawings of Domenico Tiepolo, London, 1962, pl. 42.
