A copy after Puget's high-relief marble of Alexander and Diogenes of 1671-88 which was executed at Toulon for King Louis XIV and moved in 1698 to Paris, and is now at the Louvre, F. Souchal, French Sculptors of the 17th and 18th Centuries: The Reign of Louis XIV, London, 1987, III, p. 199, fig. 22
