1840 (7 May) the extremely rare notice advising of the new 2d. blue and V.R. 1d. black issues, bearing 2d. plate 1, RG and RH, and the V.R. 1d. RE and RF, both apparently being the original adhesives but one 2d. and both V.R. 1d's having been cut from the notice, the V.R. pair separated and then all replaced at a much later date.
