Paolo Dotti of Padua, General of Militia from 1529, distinguished himself at Vicenza. The medal was probably commissioned by Paolo Dotti II (fl.c.1466). The figure of Constancy was copied by Guacialotti on his medals of Sixtus IV and Alfonso Duke of Calabria, hence the medal attributed in error to Guacialotti in Armand.
