cover 1887 (27 Sept.) envelope, complete with letter headed "Sefula, Haut Zambezi", from the French missionary Rev. Francois Coillard addressed to France, bearing Transvaal 1885-93 ½d., 1d., 2d. and 6d. (damaged) cancelled by "8" three-ring obliterators with "ZEERUST/TRANSVAAL" c.d.s. (23.2.1888) alongside, red crayon "7½d", handstruck "2½d" in red, Calais-Paris T.P.O. c.d.s. (28.3) with, on reverse, Cape Town (3.3) and London (28.3) transit c.d.s.; the envelope a little soiled and creased, nevertheless a magnificent early missionary cover from Northern Rhodesia. Photo
