The reverse of the annual medal for 1618, anno XIV (Bartolotti notes this larger version with the later, anno XVI, obverse), shows the new Porta Vaticana, also know as the Porta Horaria or dell'Orologio on account of the large clock and bell tower. The gate was built 1616-17 to a design by Martino Ferabosco.
