A detailed 20th Century model of the frigate Alice Mandel of New Bedford
With masts, yards, foot ropes, standing and running rigging, bits, anchors, winches, bell, companionways, hatches, belaying and pins, superstructure with brick stove and pipes, decklights, aft covered helm, seven ships boats, five in davits with bottom boards, thwarts and oars and many other details. The scored deck and hull finished in black, white, varnish and pinned copper plates to rudder and below main whale, the whole mounted on a wooden stand, loosely contained within a glazed case
