A well detailed model of the two-masted topsail armed schooner Dolfijn of circa 1750
Constructed by G.M. Janssen
With bound masts, yards, standing and running rigging, suit of stitched linen sails, cast figurehead of a rampant lion, hair rails, catheads, anchors with wooden stocks, belaying rails and pins, bell with canopy, winch, bitts, gratings, shot racks, companionways, ship's boat in chocks, bilge pump, open helm, deck rails and lantern, armed throughout with swivel guns and cannon as appropriate. The hull finished in green and varnish is mounted on a display board with legend and plexiglass case
overall measurements -- 72 x 85cm.
