A 19th Century sailors model of the sail/steam gaff rigged cargo frigate Emma
With masts, yards, standing and running rigging, anchors, belaying rails, companionway, hatches, funnel with safety valve extension pipe and whistle with cotton wool 'smoke', aft helm, four ships boats swung out in davits. The hull carved from the solid is finished in red, white and black, set within a stylised painted sea with a painted background of white cliffs and other shipping within a framed and glazed case -- 27 x 54cm; and a nave model of the carrier Arc Royal with an glazed case
