An unusual 10cm. diameter miniature globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees in two directions, the ecliptic graduated in days of the year with symbols for the houses of the Zodiac, the Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the oceans with international dateline, the continents with nation states variously coloure, withLeningrad shown, along with other towns and cities, rivers and mountains ranges (some old minor damages, some small surface abrasions), with gilded tin meridian circle with applied paper circle of graduations in degrees, the gilded tin horizon circle with similar applied paper ring graduated in degrees, days of the houses of the Zodiac with names and symbols and days of the month with names as well as wind directions, the vertical face of the horizon ring decorated with alternating moon and star motifs, raised on four rectangular section legs united by cross stretchers (some loss to gold paint)
