An early 19th-Century school's tellurium, the 7.6cm. diameter miniature terrestrial globe labelled JORDGLOB a N. Selander Tillverkau aft Adolph Lennon Stockholm made up of twenty four hand-coloured printed gores, the equator and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days, the continents outlined in colour and showing rivers and cities (gores extremely wrinkled, some surface abrasions and discolourations, some paper loss) with geared moon arm at the North Pole, mounted on a geared mechanism partially contained in a hexagonal brass box driven by crank handle, the Zodiac circle signed FR. J. BERG STOCKHOLM and graduated in degrees and days, showing names symbols and pictures for the houses of the Zodiac, wind directions, months and seasons, with brass mirror and candle holder, raised on a baluster turned bronze column and moulded plinth base
