A 33cm. diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic ungraduated, the oceans showing ocean currents, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and journey time in days, Dutch steamship routes shown with a thick red line, and submarine cable lines, the continents with some nation states outlined in green, showing rivers, mountains, towns, cities, railways, telegraph lines, caravan routes and the Great Wall of China (several old surface abrasions and discolouration, especially around the Antarctic circle, with paper loss) with stamped brass meridian circle, the horizon with copied paper horizon ring with very little detail remaining, raised on four ebonised quadrant supports to four inswept legs
