A 33cm. diameter terrestrial library globe made up of two sets of twelve chromolithographed gores, the applied equatorial graduated in degrees (sections missing), the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with symbols, the oceans showing principal steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distances in nautical miles, and principal air routes, the continents with nation states variously coloured according to national possession, Pakistan shown, India coloured yellow but with red outline to denote recent Briutish possession, showing rivers, towns, cities, railways and air routes (some discolouration and small scratches), with stamped brass meridian circle, the ebonised octagonal horizon with copied paper horizon ring graduated in degrees in both directions, with compass directions, days of the houses of the Zodiac with simple pictures and days of the month, supported by four turned and fluted legs with cross stretchers
