The globular sides painted with a continuous figure scene of a courting couple on a veranda and two ladies standing nearby, the small spout set opposite the scroll handle on the cylindrical neck, the slightly domed cover with a skipping boy, the silver mount and thumb-piece apparently unmarked except for a later 19th Century duty-mark
