Maker's mark badly struck, possibly that of Pieter de Klerck, Haarlem, 1709, also struck with the date-letter G for 1816 and other 19th Century duty-marks
The circular domed base chased and sprayed with foliage and flowers, raising to a plain pear-shaped body with wavy band at the rim, shaped scroll handle, the high-domed hinged cover decorated with flowers and sprays, surmounted by a baluster finial, shell-shaped thumbpiece
