drypoint, 1918, on Japan, second (final) state, signed in pencil, from the edition of 50 on this paper (there was also an edition of 100 on wove paper), published by R. Piper & Co., Munich, circa 1922, the full sheet as published, a deckle edge at the bottom, three skilfully repaired areas just below each eye and the tip of the nose, one crease running through the image from the lower right corner, another running down from the top left, minor surface dirt and rubbing in the margins, several minor repaired defects at the sheet edges, laid on thin Japan, framed
