Monuments Anciens et Modernes de L'Hindoustan. Paris: P. Didot, L'Ain, 1821.
2 volumes, folio, (400 x 295 mm). Engraved title page. 144 plates and 3 maps (some light spotting, volume 1 damp-staining to upper margin, volume 2 damp-staining to lower and upper right corners, volume 2 rust hole to 272). 19th-century half morocco (rubbed covers and spines, foot of volume 1 with short tear).
Langls left his military career in order to become an orientalist. This is the most important of his publications, despite being unfinished.
