Album of eighty-two photographs, the majority albumen prints, but including a few salted paper prints, various sizes from half-stereo format (approx. 3 x 3 in.) to approx. 10 x 13 in., a few initialled by photographers in the negatives D.H.M. (1), R.N.M. (2), J.[?] S. (2), five titled (some indistinctly) and two dated 1857 in the negatives, the majority titled in pencil on mounts, full red leather (distressed and covers detached), titled Scrap Book in gilt on front cover, folio.

An interesting early amateur album with several unusual views of native villages near Calcutta. Also including fine tree studies, the burial ground at Cawnpore prior to the construction of the Memorial Gardens, the Barrackpore Road, river scenes and architectural subjects.
