A portrait of Valentine Tessier

The present lot will be sold with the original letter of Van Rysselberghe to Mademoiselle Valentine Tessier, dated 29 July 1914 in which he expresses his regards and writes about the 'Portrait bleu et noir', inviting her for another seance. Valentine Tessier, a famous theatre and cinema actress, posed several times for Van Rysselberghe.
