A GERMAN ORMOLU-MOUNTED MAHOGANY, FRUITWOOD AND PARQUETRY COMMODE
Late 18th Century
Overall banded with boxwood and amaranth lines, the rectangular top with canted angles centred by a flowerhead and flanked by two shaped panels, above a simulated dentilled and linked-circle frieze-drawer, and two further drawers with lozenge-shaped panels, flanked by pilasters with simulated channelling headed by a flowerhead, above channelled square tapering legs, partly remounted, minor restorations, some surface damage, with transport label inscribed 'GRAZ....'
