A LATE LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED TULIPWOOD, SYCAMORE, AMARANTH, HAREWOOD AND PARQUETRY SECRETAIRE A ABATTANT
The later shaped and moulded brche d'Alep marble top above a frieze-drawer, the waved rectangular fall-front enclosing a fitted waved bois satin and tulipwood interior with two shelves and ten small drawers, the leather-lined writing-surface with a burr-walnut veneered frame, above a further pair of doors enclosing one shelf and two compartments, the sides similarly inlaid, the waved apron on cabriole legs with foliate sabots, some fitted drawers with ink inscriptions to the sides 'BERTH', 'PINEL', 'MIGNG', extensive restorations, one interior drawer relined in pine, possibly originally with a coffre-fort, bearing two false 'MIGEON' stamps, once to each side of the back of the carcase
