A green baize sledging pouch [circa 1910], 22 x 15 x 4cm., hand-stitched, with joints and edges strengthened with green ribbon, flap top, lined with cream flannel, remains of green cotton ties.

Provenance: Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912); by descent.

A good example of the work carried out by expedition members, either on board the Terra Nova on the way south, or in the hut at Cape Evans.
