This painting was owned by Fred G. Kraft, the Editor-in-Chief of The Long Island Klaxon, and a previous owner of "Shinglenook", the Cragsmoor, New York home of E.L. Henry and his wife. A copy of a letter from Mr. Kraft, dated September 18, 1976 accompanies the lot. A copy of a letter from Jan Christman of the New York State Museum at Albany, dated July 22, 1980, authenticating the painting accompanies the lot as well.
