Seljuk Anatolia or Persia, 12th century
Manuscript on paper, 205ff. with 16ll. of tiny sepia naskh, sura headings in large gold naskh terminating in palmette, a variety of circular and palmette shaped medallions in red, green, blue and gold, opening bifolio with sura headings in gold eastern kufic on red and gold ground with palmette leaves, proceded by "carpet page" folio, generally good condition, light rubbing and staining in gold tooled morocco binding made up from 17th century cover, black slip cover
