Lot Essay

This copy is in the hand of the author, a well known jurist and author of some works on Islamic jurisprudence. He was born and educated in Aleppo and received his higher education in Egypt before settling in Istanbul.
A copy of the same date, also in the hand of the author is in the Garrett collection of Princeton University Library.
There are a number of marginal notes, some identified as being in the hand of the author, others by later readers.
