PERSIA, 19TH CENTURY
Of elongated drop form rising from the narrow knopped shaft and spreading square base, the narrow neck with boss below the flaring thistle mouth, the stopper surmounded by a waisted neck and tall faceted spire, the body with a broad band of shaped gold cartouches filled with floral motifs and divided from each other by applied meandering flowering vine, a band of gold swagging below, the upper part of the body with floral decorated facets, the foot, mouth and stopper similar decorated with gold damascening, sligtly rubbed in a few places
