PERSIA, SYRIA AND ANATOLIA, 15TH-18TH CENTURY
Comprising a Damascus square tile, the white ground with a lattice of tendrils linking palmettes, cusped cartouches containing arabesques and saz leaves, late 16th century, cracked, framed; an Iznik tile fragment, the blue ground with similar designs to the above; a Timurid cuerda seca tile of pentagonal form, the blue ground with a white arabesque interlacing turquoise leafy stems, plain turquoise stripe border; and two Kutahya tiles, the white ground painted in Iznik style with large part panels issuing tendrils with palmettes and part flowerheads, one broken in three pieces
