Painted on a white ground in shades of blue, green, turquoise and yellow, the basin inscribed E C 1674 within a chevron border, a vertical scroll at each corner, the sides modelled in high relief with a rampant unicorn, lion, and dragon, each within a similar border, the whole raised on ball feet (restored)--5¾in. (14.6cm.) high
