Lot Essay

A paper label, which appears to be 19th century, is affixed to the inside of the table frame and bears the following inscription: "This table belonged to Dr. John Mussey and Wife. They were married in 1770 housekeeping. They were the parents of Mrs. Mary Mussey, wife of Solomon Prince of Amhearst (sic.), N.H."
