Tasting note: Deep, dumb, oaky and laden with tannin. But good fruit and length. Still fairly deep, rich; pleasantly sweet at first sip, good body. Notable fruit currently suppressed by the tannins. Time will reveal all. A classic Montrose needing plenty of bottle-age. M.B.
