The hood with foliate carved caps to the swan-neck pediment with painted glass panels above and below, re-built gallery and replaced finials to the top, outset fluted columns with brass Corinthian capitals, with dentil mouldings to the hood below, above a gallery of onion top arches, blind fret panels, three-quarter length trunk door with moulded frame and tracery arch top, further panel below, flanked by reeded three-quarter pilasters on blind fret plinths, the case plinth with brickwork mouldings to the angles and raised on ogee bracket feet, the 14in. white dial with gilt floral spandrels and scene of Chronos on a hillock to the arch, subsidiary centre seconds ring (dial re-painted), the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell; case, dial and movement associated
