We are grateful to Mr. Everett Fahy for confirming the attribution on the basis of a photograph. Mr. Fahy points out that the present lot is a damaged work by Spinello who used the same cartoon for his fragmentary Madonna and Child enthroned in the Museo Nazionale di San Marco, Pisa.
