Four Patriotic Handkerchiefs
A cotton handkerchief, 13in. by 14in. (33cm. by 35.5cm.), printed with the words and music of The Soldiers of the Queen and views of assorted Infantry and Cavalry solidiers in Full Dress uniform (now glued to a card); another cotton handkerchief, of similar size, one side printed with a portrait en grisaille of Lord Kitchener (rather improbably wearing Highland uniform and a Victoria Cross) in the centre of the Union Flag in colour; a slightly smaller handkerchief, also printed with the Union flag, with portraits of Roberts, Kitchener, Buller and White superimposed in the quarters; and a larger handkerchief, (18in. by 17in.), of better quality, one side printed in blue monochrome with the words and music of The Absent-Minded Beggar, map of South Africa and portraits of Queen Victoria and Lord Roberts (4)
