A Rare 10th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry Photograph Album
A cloth-bound album, 8in. by 11in. (22cm. by 28cm.), compiled by an unknown member of the 10th Battalion I.Y. (whose full-length portrait appears on the first page), containing 95 photographs, all except one being 2.1/8in. by 3.1/8in. (5.5cm. by 8cm.), mostly annotated in ink, showing troops on the move, holding a bridge, Boer prisoners, refugees, Boer doctor coming into camp, etc.; together with a sentimental greeting from a Royal Engineer in the form of painted vignettes and eight lines of verse on a piece of khaki drill cloth, which according to the poem,"Twas torn from the back of my old Khaki jacket".
