Private T. Wilson was wounded in the attack on the Victorian Mounted Rifles at Wilmansrust on 12.6.1901.

The Boers crept into the V.M.R. bivouac at dawn, stampeded the horses and rushed the camp. In the ensuing fight they inflicted heavy casualties on the Victorians - two Officers and 16 men were killed and four Officers and 38 men wounded.
