A Simon's Town Prisoner of War "Booby Trap" Novelty Box
A small crudely assembled, wooden box 4in. by 2in.(10cm. by 7cm.) with sliding lid which, when opened, causes a carved black snakes' head to spring out and prick the finger of the unwary user, the side of the box bearing a purple stamp inscribed, 'Bellevue Prisoner of War Censor' and date 12/1900
