Volumes I and II of J.M. Staniforth's 'Cartoons of the Boer War', reprinted from the Western Mail: Vol. I (Second Edition), approximately 100 cartoons, published between 30.8.1899 and 3.8.1900, recording the course of the War in allegorical form, many featuring John Bull, each with an explanation of the background to the drawing; Vol. II covers the period September 1900 to July 1902, giving interesting insights into attitudes to the War in the U.K. and elsewhere in Europe.
