Seven late Ming blue and white 'kraak porselein' plates
Wanli
Five painted at the centre with a star-shaped medallion variously depicting a duck, grasshopper or bird on a riverbank and Buddhistic Symbols, all surrounded by lappet panels of further Symbols, fruit and flowers between tassels or jewels; and a pair of plates decorated at the centre with two deer standing under a pine-tree below a border of ducks amongst aquatic plants (rim frittings and small chips)
